It's been awhile

I've been very busy since my last entry. I had a great trip up north for the 4th of July and had a fantastic interview at the Noka Cafe in Topinabee. Frankly, I'd like to hold all my interviews there because it's hard to get nervous when you're sitting next to a bunch of old guys talking about fishing on a Saturday morning. The 4th was great. Ted went barefoot skiing (also known as giving yourself an aquatic enema) and I tried wakeboarding (which is much harder than it looks). Sanjay took his first step while Andrew played papparazzi with his new camera. Ted's cousin, Toby, showed us the skills he learned in clown college (no joke, he's good) and we all got to try real Hawaiian kava. Andrew and I went to Mackinac Island with Jen and Dave and we all had a great time.

The next week, I had an interview in Lansing and spent the weekend in Ann Arbor. I went to see Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and highly recommend it. It was so much better than the old one. I didn't catch James before he went back to Tennessee (sorry James!), but we're going to do some mad music mixing soon.

This past week, I stayed with Artie to prevent her from digging up every inch of lawn at my mom's house. We had a lot of fun filling in old holes, pulling algae out of the pond and rolling in stinky things. She wants to move in with me when I get my own place, but I don't think she'll pull her weight when the rent is due.

I picked blueberries this weekend and helped with my dad's cigar party. I also ran a 5k on Saturday and won my age group! That was a surprise. My cousin had a bridal shower yesterday and I won a prize for helping to make the most beautiful bride out of toilet paper. Try not to hate me because I have skills.

Ok, time to get back to work.

  • Congrats on the 5k win! Artie sounds like a fun doggy. She is a doggy, right?
