Soooo full

I am still recovering from Turkey day. What a feast! We had 5 desserts for 6 people, so needless to say, I've been having pumpkin pie for breakfast and I'm starting to feel unwell. Before I became too bloated to move, I was able to visit my friend Jen, so that was a nice holiday bonus. Now I have plans with friends for most of Christmas break, which is wonderful, so I'm really excited for December.

To those runners who are interested, I ran a 10k on Saturday in Muskegon. There was a blanket of 6" of new snow that morning, but I had some new tire chains for my shoes, so I was off to the races. The best reward, however, was that I vanquished my fear of the 10k. It has always been the distance that I struggle with and with a nice finish there, I now feel free. I was pretty pleased with the experience and I would definitely recommend Yaktrax for winter runners.

In job news, there is no news. I haven't heard from several good jobs, some of which I'm sure I haven't gotten and some of which may not have finished reading resumes yet. Nick thinks I should apply to a job in Alaska (see above), but I can't live without sunlight for that long. I'm thinking WI or MN would be cold and dark enough. At the moment, I have been busy working for my dad and writing awful short stories.

Well, I'm off to send more job apps and work off my turkey and 17 desserts. My car is fixed and Ford is going to pay for parts, so for the moment, they have bought me off. But don't think that I've forgotten!
